Issues during a night of bagatelle - This needs to be sorted between the two captains on the night and if not resolved should be raised with the committee by the teams committee representatives.

COMMITTEE OFFICIALS, NOMINATIONS AND VOTING:
Honorary President - John Pritchard
Treasurer - Neil Davies
League Secretary - John Pritchard
Chairperson - Simon Ward
Vice Chairperson - Suzanne Johnson

VOTING ON PROPOSALS (1 VOTE PER TEAM):
1. Change back to one division instead of two. This allows players to play on multiple table rather than being limited to certain tables they have in their league. Also this allows new players in the lower divisions to learn from the leagues more experienced player who are playing at the top of the division above. (Submitted by The Bridgewater) - NOT PASSED, Voting was 5 for, 7 against and 1 abstained

2. Teams who play with 8 players receive a bonus point in the league for each game they play with 8 players. (Submitted by The Bridgwater & St Theresa’s) NOT PASSED, Voting was 6 for and 7 against.

3. If a team is short of players for whatever reason then either a random generator (done by the opposing captain) or the opposing captain picks the players who play again. (Submitted by The Bridgewater) PASSED, Voting was 11 for, 1 against and 1 abstained.

4. All players should be put onto the team sheet before the second half is started (similar to the first half) and not left empty to see if someone turns up (Submitted by The Bridgewater) PASSED, Voting was 9 for and 4 against.

5. A team is deducted 15 points for each player that is missing from the team of 8 players. I.e. if a team plays with
5 players they lose 45 points from their total score on the night, 15 for each missing player, (Submitted by St Theresa’s) NOT PASSED, Voting was 5 for and 8 against

6. The mixed doubles competition to be named in memory of Eddie Wicks as a mark of respect to Eddie and his service to the game and committee (Submitted by St Theresa’s) PASSED, Voting was 11 for, 1 against and 1 abstained.

7. If the leagues stays as two league then a second bottom 4 cup should be created to have one for each division, and these should be named after Len Cooper and Richie Evans (submitted by St Theresas) PASSED, Voting was 8 for, 2 against and 3 abstained.

AOB
Ted Randells (Upton B), cancer has spread to his spine so he’s in hospital with no visitors, moved to hospice over the next couples of days for at least the next 2 weeks. We wish Ted all the very best.

Colin Jones (Upton B), has a fall so unfortunately in hospital, no visiting. We wish Colin all the very best.

Accounts - Accounts were provided on the night and put into the What’s App groups. No challenges and happy to sign off.

Magazine - Idea for a magazine to advertise bagatelle in the local town. This would include pages for each pub with a bagatelle team and advertising for third party businesses. The idea is to get this into pubs, visitor centres and other such type venues. This will be taken away to get costings and a business plan, and brought to a future committee meeting.

Any team paying for 2 teams to enter the league would receive 2 fixtures for each cup round of draws, fixtures permitting - Agreed unanimously.

Teams taken out if they don’t turn up to their cup game - If a team fails to turn up for a cup fixture their respective pub will not be given a fixture as a neutral venue in the rest of that cup draw. This will only cover the cup that the team didn’t turn up in.

Meeting closed.

Minutes by Simon Ward, Chairman.
