Jimmy Fairhurst Memorial Bagatelle Knockout in aid of Cancer Research

Total raised: £1460.40

The series of charity knockouts organised by John Lea was completed on 24th April 2012 when the 'Grand Final' was held at the Home Guard Club.   The winner of the main competition was Nigel Walker who beat Adam Wallace in the final, with Pat Evans beating Rob Bawn in the licensee competition.   In addition, no-one is a keener player, or has attended more knockout evenings than Bill Lloyd, and a special presentation was made to Bill in recognition of his fantastic support of the game.

The main aim, of course, has been to raise money for a very worthwhile cause, and a cheque for the magnificent amount of £1460.00 was presented to the Breast Care Unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Thanks go to everyone who took part and contributed towards the success of the Knockout,  to everyone who donated prizes, to all the pubs and clubs who supported the events, and especially to John Lea who organised and co-ordinated everything, ably assisted by Margaret Walker.
